The 2025 Food Security Programme was officially launched on January 20, 2025, under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Dr. B. Paul Robinson, Director of EHED Caritas. It was held at EHED Caritas, conference hall. The inaugural meeting emphasized the program’s role in addressing food security challenges. Mr. M.A.M. Rizmy, the project coordinator, presented a detailed overview of the program’s objectives and strategies. A video of the National Orientation Meeting held on 2025.01.09 was also shared, offering insights into national strategies and best practices. The project team engaged in meaningful discussions, sharing their experiences and strategies for overcoming the challenges. The organization’s accountant also contributed valuable insights during the session. Key points included enhancing community participation and strengthening resource distribution and monitoring. The program will target 15 villages across 02 Divisional Secretariat divisions, covering 06 Grama Niladhari divisions.
